SunRiseEn for Mac (OSX)
 
Download the installation file if you are using a computer from Apple with the operating system OSX.
 
ATTENTION! WITH THE RELEASE OF THIS VERSION OF THE SUNRISE PROGRAM, PREVIOUS VERSIONS ARE BEING REMOVED FROM SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE.
 
INSTALLATION AND UPDATE PROCEDURE
 
A. INSTALLATION
 
1. Click on the SunRiseEn for Mac (OSX) link. Download the installation file to your computer in a convenient folder, from which you will then start the installation of the new version of SunRiseEn.
 
2. Before installing the new program, we strongly recommend that those who already have a previous version of the SunRise or SunRiseEn program save the database in a convenient location if the user wants to use the already accumulated data with which he /she worked earlier. If you have not used SunRise or SunRiseEn before, proceed to step 3 of this manual. If you need to save the database, do the following:
 
- (a) Open the current version of SunRise
- (b) Without login to the program, find the button on the welcome window «Utilities» and click on it.
- (c) In the opened window, find the radio-button option called «Copy the database to the selected folder or storage device» and click on this radio-button.
- (d) Click on the "Apply" button
- (e) The system file explorer will open. Find or create a folder where you want to save the existing database, and click on the «Save» button
- (f) Wait for the message that the database has been saved successfully. Remember or write down where you saved your existing database.
 
Note! This procedure can also be used for other purposes if you want to save your existing database. For example, if you install any version of the SunRise program on a new and/or another computer and want to use previously accumulated data.
 
3. Find the installation file and run it. (a) Find the downloaded installation file in the file explorer (Finder), (b) Select it with the mouse, (c) Hover over it and right-click, (d) The menu will appear, select the option «Open With» and select the option «Installer». (e) Then follow the steps of the installer as usual.
 
4. Once the SunRiseEn program is installed, you need to run it. (a) Go to the «Applications» folder either through the «Go» system menu or through the «Finder» system file explorer, and then follow the path from «Favorites» => Applications => SunRiseEn. Find the «SunRiseEn alias» file in this folder and copy this file to your desktop. This is the icon for running the SunRise program. Double-click on it. Please note that the SunRise installer DOES NOT REMOVE previous versions of the SunRise-II-M program, so you will have two icons. Do not confuse with them.
 
4a. Alternatively, you can launch the SunRiseEn program from the LaunchPad option. The icon for this option is usually located in the bottom row of all the standard icons on the monitor. Click on this icon and in the system window that opens, find the SunRiseEn program icon. Click on it. (Note: Sometimes, when using the LaunchPad option, the SunRiseEn program icon does not appear in the system window. In this case, use the method described in point 4 above to launch the program.)
 
5. The program will open, and you can work with it normally.
 
6. When you run the SunRiseEn program first time, it will tell you that the database is empty and not registered. You have two options:
 
- (1) Click on the «Register» button on the welcome window and register the program on this computer. You will need to fill in the registration fields carefully with the consultant data and password. (See details in point 8 and below).
 
- (2) Copy the previously saved database to this new program (see point 7 below for how to do this).
 
7. If you have previously saved the database from any previous version of the SunRise program, then when you first open the SunRiseEn program, it will report that the user is not registered. You can copy the existing database that you have previously saved (see point 2 above). In this case, follow the following procedure:
 
- (a) Open (for the first time) the newly installed SunRiseEn program.
- (b) Without login to the program, find the «Utilities» button on the welcome window and click on it.
- (c) In the opened window, find the radio-button «Restore the database from the selected folder or storage media» and click on it.
- (d) Click the «Apply» button
- (e) The system file explorer will open. Find the folder in which you previously saved the database file from the previous version of SunRise and select it.
- (f) Click the «Open» system button.
- (g) Wait for the message that the database has been restored successfully.
- (h) Close the «Utilities» window and return to the welcome window. (If the welcome window of SunRiseEn was open, close it and run SunRiseEn again. This is important, since the program must rebuild and reconfigure itself at the time of restarting to the newly saved database. If you do not do this, the program will report that the password is incorrect).
- (k) Enter the login information that you used to log into the previous version of the SunRise program and voila. The new SunRiseEn program will open.
 
8. If you have selected the option to launch the program according to paragraph 6 (1), then when filling in the Agent registration fields, you must enter the user name (UID) - this is the e-mail that must exactly match the e-mail that you registered on the website www.usicn.com. And you also need to enter the password (PWD), which must also match the password that you registered on the website www.usicn.com.
 
NOTE. (1) If you do not have the user name and password data, then go to the website www.usicn.com and create these data. (2) After that, wait for the e-mail from the ICN Holding administrator, which will confirm your registration. If you have not received such e-mail confirmation of registration, then after some time try to go to the website www.usicn.com with the created login data. If the login to the site is successful, then your data has been confirmed.
 
9. Immediately after the successful login into the SunRiseEn program, click on the main menu icon «Download». The data download module from the ICN Holding portal will open. Download all the data so that the program is personalized for you, and you can use all the program modules. Without such download, a number of program modules will not work.
 
10. When downloading data, if you have reached position M-III and below, then only the data of those clients that you serve directly is downloaded. And the data of your personal accounts is also downloaded.
 
11. If you have reached position D-I and above, then you can download the data of ALL clients that are related to your directorate. To do this, do the following:
 
11.1 If you have just installed the SunRiseEn program, then download all the data as specified in paragraph 9.
11.2 Close the program and open it again.
11.3 Open the data download module.
11.4 When you reopen the download module, the options will appear to select downloading client data: (1) all, or (2) only those that you serve directly.
11.5 If you want to download data of all clients of your directorate and if you have reached at least D-I position, then select the option to download all clients and download this data.
 
NOTES / UPLOADING FEATURES.
Sometimes there are numerous requests to download data from the server, and then the SunRiseEn program download module on your computer may fail. In this case, there are two options.
12.1 Wait for some time and repeat the download.
12.2 If the failure continues, then report it to e-mail info@usicn.com. The administrator will «refresh» the download server, and after some time you can repeat the download.
 
B. INSTALLING UPDATES
 
Each time you open the SunRiseEn program, two factors are checked: (a) whether your computer is connected to the Internet and (b) whether there are new updates for the SunRiseEn program.
 
If there are no updates, then you work with the SunRiseEn program normally. If there are updates, then the «placard» will appear in the upper right corner of the main window, which will inform you that there are new program updates, and you can install it.
 
The user has two options: (1) refuse installation at the current time by clicking on the «Later» button, or (2) install the update by clicking on the «Install» button.
 
If you refuse to install, then each time you open the program, you will see this «placard» with the reminder. Or you can check if there are new updates by selecting the «Utilities» icon from the main menu at the top right and selecting the «Program Update» option from the drop-down menu.
 
If you have chosen to install a new update, you should follow VERY simple steps.
 
1. Click on the «Install» button
2. The "SunRiseEn Program Update" window will open
3. In the text window, read the warnings and descriptions that apply to the new update.
4. If you want to cancel the update, click on the «Remind me later» button.
5. If you still decide to install the update, it is strongly recommended that you first save the existing database as a safety procedure for the safety of your data. To do this:
- (a) Click on the «Backup Database» button.
- (b) The warning window will open. Read and click on the «Continue» button.
- (c) The system file explorer window will open. Find or create a folder where you want to save the current database. Attention! Do not change the name of the file being saved.
- (d) Click on the «Save» system button.
- (e) Write down or remember where you saved the backup copy of the database.
6. In the «SunRise Program Update» window, click the «Install Update» button.
7. The program will open the installation file downloader and start downloading it. Wait until the file is completely downloaded. The download time depends on your Internet speed.
8. After downloading, the SunRiseEn program will automatically close, and the installer window will also automatically open.
9. The installer is typical, so just follow the typical steps of the installer until the update installation is complete.
10. After the installation is complete, launch the SunRiseEn program in the usual way and continue working normally.
11. If during the installation of the update there was a failure that damaged the database, then you can easily restore the database from the welcome window by clicking on the «Restore DB» button (do not confuse this button with the options of the «Utilities» button, although, in fact, they perform very similar transactions with the database).
